JoRR... If you bought an electronic cuff be warmed that they are not 100% reliable compared to your standard cuff.
Mine somehow lost calibration and was giving me numbers that were way too high. Luckily I had an apt scheduled with my doc, and they said everything is fine.
When I first started BP meds last September after I had a “cardiac event” I also remember feeling pretty relaxed.
I second the stop drinking thing, or at least cutting back.
Yeah, I know the $40 unit I bought isn't going to be as reliable as what they have in a hospital. That's why I've been taking it several times each day.
Also, I'm pretty sure I haven't had a drink since last Thursday. Strike that, my wife and I did have a bottle of Champagne at Cafe Cancale on Sunday night. But I certainly don't drink everyday. I guess the efforts of a former poster to paint me as a fall down drunk must have gained some traction here.
Sorry.
Also, sitting a lot, eating too much red meat, and reading the CFMB politics section have all been proven to increase your risk of heart disease.
I personally cut my sugar intake way down and switched from 4 shot white mochas to one 20oz black coffee a day. Espresso is no good for your heart, or the flavoring they can add to it.
