my hair is long enough that I now have to comb it back like Gordon Gekko. I was thinking maybe I just keep it this length and start going for the full ward boss look. Three piece, maybe a gold pocket watch. I can alter that a little and do the wide pin stripes like burke did later in life. Be real old school gangster.

Anyway, I think it will freshen things up and people will really take notice once things open up again. I'll walk down the streets of the loop and people will say "there's somebody!"

spats might be a bit pretentious

If you are going retro, I think you should go for the Shaw Brothers look.

I may be balding but I'm not bald. No rug for me.

I'm not as physically intimidating as them. I'm more like a Teddy Roosevelt

It probably works for thinner guys but I think it makes us more robust bodies look fat.

I don't recall you as a taller, think guy. They seem to be best suited for the look imho.

I laugh at how dated Michael and Scottie's suits are in the last dance

When I buy a suit, I need it to be in style for at least 10 years.

I would not use "slugger" in France. And I cant think of an equivalent word, really. "copain" is what you're taught but even the masculine form strays too close to calling some dude your girlfriend.

I was working the parking lot at the country club in 1987 or thereabouts and a guest pulled up in a Saab. He got out, wearing a pink three-piece suit. As I was getting the clubs out of his car and as he was telling me who he was and when he was teeing off, he placed his coat on a hanger he flicked out like nunchucks and then undid his vest, which was velcro'd together. It was weird.

So don't get that kind.
