Just did one of my two using white vinegar, like I usually do, but was reading some posts on /r/plumbing and they suggested that white vinegar was a waste of time and to use flow-aide or some other commercial product. The difference is that I'm using maybe $8-$10 of vinegar, and these commercial cleaners are like $60... anybody used one of them before? I was half thinking of getting one and doing another flush on that same tankless to see if it actually gets anything more out than the vinegar does, but thought I would come here first as this is the #1 message board for tankless heaters to see if anyone has first-hand experience with it.
