Almost every human being in this situation is at fault, with the exception of the non violent residents or shop owners in Kenosha.

A. Blake was a piece of shit (I will take Nas' word for it) and thinking you are going to succeed in pulling a weapon on multiple armed people, officers or not, nope.

B. How the fuck did none of the three officers think to block Blake's path to the car? He doesn't get to the car and there is no question about "need" to shoot him.

C. Anybody who lives more than 10 minutes outside of Kenosha who doesn't work there, what the fuck are you doing on the street? And what is destroying property going to do except get people to accuse you of being a George Soros pawn, or some kind of double-cross white supremacist?

C2: That goes double for the fucking "militia" - if i had tried to leave my house at 17 to go protect a street in Kenosha with a gun, my father would have run me over with his car.

D. If you see a fucking 17 year old with a rifle trying to play Barney Fife, what level of stupidity prompts you to get within his field of vision, much less attack him? I know they stopped playing Andy Griffith Show reruns on WGN, but seriously.


In short, we used to have infantry based wars every couple of generations and the stupidest in society would die due to their dumbfuckery (along with a lot of other people including many brave ones). Now, it seems like every fucking numbskull waits for the batsignal to gather in places like Kenosha.

And you will notice that I did not invoke race once here. Dumbfuckery crosses race, religion, political leaning, sexual orientation, whatever.

Where did you read this? Let me tell you something about reality. If you shoot to "neutralize" you are likely to get killed yourself. This is not some Lone Ranger or Roy Rogers cowboy serial stuff where they shoot the guy out of the bad guy's hand or just try and "wing em". Cops and soldiers are taught to aim center mass at all times.

The other thing is this. I would bet that the cop who shot this guy probably never had a life threatening episode like this in his entire life and had to be scared shitless. That also happens with cops and soldiers. This isn't something that anyone is ready for really. If a cop wants to go home that night and be with his family, he'd better take the bad guy down and perform wisely through his fear and not think twice about shooting the guy.

Perhaps you haven't ever been in combat? Ask a combat veteran what they would do if someone had a weapon leveled at them. Guess what? They wouldn't wait to shoot the shit out of whoever did that to them.

You shoot to neutralize. Too bad we didn't have body cam footage to determine if seven shots were excessive.

Hawk, I was military police; I know my stuff. You never say "shoot to kill", you shoot to neutralize a threat . You aim for "two to the chest, one to the head" because those areas are the largest, most static parts of the body. You shoot to prevent the individual from posing further danger to yourself or others; sometimes they survive, sometimes they don't.
