was a kid when i met Frank Thomas at The Patio in Willowbrook. He's 6'5'' and looked like a giant. I'm 6'3'' now. Years later, saw Jim Thome at a verizon store. Odd enough, it was the one in the shopping center next to the Patio where I saw Thomas. There is no way Jim Thome is 6'4''. I'd put him at 6ft tops

I played pickup ball with Greg Ostertag. Guy had to be over 7' because he was in my mind a lot taller than Eddy Curry or Thomas Hamilton, two guys I stood next to at various HS tourneys over the years.

I played 2 weeks of summer ball against and with Dave Corzine. He was terrible. But he admitted it. It's probably why he got good.

I played against a kid who was 6'11" in high school. As the bottom defender in a 1-3-1 defense, I got to box him out regularly and try to front him. At 5'11" and 181, I might have outweighed him, so we managed to keep him in check.

My high school faced Chris Kaman, he was the largest I have stood next to, and not the best player on that HS team.

When you are nose to nose, your toes are in it; when you are toe to toe, your nose is in it..

One thing I forgot to mention about Don Koehler, he had a car- I forget what model- but the front seat was removed and he drove from the backseat.
