Kids are using it to write college essays now, getting nearly perfect scores. Colleges are deploying Chat-zero, a form of ChatGPT designed to catch plagiarizing, but obviously it's not hard to paraphrase the results and get your perfect score.

So, college is now just a test to see if you're capable of asking artificial intelligence the right questions. Are they learning anything? Hell no, and the students proudly admit that. I can't wait for the first skyscraper to be fully designed and general contracted by AI. It will happen soon. Ironically, the last markets to hold up against AI will be manual labor... but eventually those will be replaced by robots too. But it won't be a gradual shift... it will very much be like flat-screen tv's, where it's the 90s right now and nobody has one, but fast forward 15 years and nobody doesn't have one.

shits getting real people. everything we knew as life was bullshit compared to the illusion we are about to see.

I'd really like to be out of a job in 15 years. I worry about my kids.

Middle management probably will be the first to go. The manual labor will be the last to be fully replaced, as it will take humanoid robots to become proficient, but that's not too far off either. And upper management already does nothing and they know it... theyre just snaking as much money as they can and they will continue to do that.

the future is completely unknown now. who will control the AI? because whatever objective you give it, it will likely succeed. If people though paying money for facebook ads was destroying our democracy, wait until you give AI access to API's and tell it to convince the public to vote for a certain person.... the brainwashing will be epic.

The brainwashing is epic already without AI.

Especially in IL. Keep re-electing the same dopes that have bankrupted the county, Chicago and the state.

And now I see it's Putin's fault when hyper inflation hits after Joe Biden and Trump printed cash like toilet paper.

These same dopes have buttered your bread for decades.

After years of teaching, AI still struggles with driving. There will continue to be some limitations and blind spots. Probably for the rest of our grandchildren's lives.

Internet of Things was going to change everything, cryptocurrency was going to change everything, NFTs were going to change everything. Elon Musk was going to dig a private golf cart tunnel from O'Hare to Dearborn. Stay prepared for underdelivery.

That's not how ai works. Every day it learns exponentially faster. The problem with auto drive is camera resolution witch is closely tied to processing power. The fact that it works at all with the shit resolution it has to deal with is amazing.

Our military has robots that have blind spots that a 6 year old child can exploit. We won't be kneeling before Rosey anytime soon.

Driving is a physical thing so I agree on that part. But doing some paper pushing project with marketing? Might take that over without too many bugs

10 years ago it was unfathomable that ai would be able to understand natural language with context and innuendos. Now you literally can't tell if you're talking to a machine or not. 10 years from now there will be a humanoid robot for sale that is a better companion to you than any human could ever be. We turned a corner and it's not one that will gradually mesh into society. It's going to be a fucking whirlwind the likes we have never seen. What's the biggest change in human history? Oil? Plastic? The internet? All that shit is bullshit in comparison to what's about to happen.

Give me api access and I'll write a script for ChatGPT to post as mults of each member here. Traffic on the site will increase 1000 fold over night, the ad revenue will be insane, and nobody will notice the difference from the current members that post here.

With the rise of computers and mobile devices in everyday life, many people do spend a significant amount of time typing on keyboards.

A study published in 2020 by RescueTime, a time management app, found that the average computer user spends about 2 hours and 48 minutes per day on their computer, and about 33% of that time is spent on communication-related tasks such as email, messaging, and typing. Again, it's important to note that these statistics are based on averages and may not be representative of all individuals' habits and lifestyles.

ChatGPT and other AI-powered chatbots could potentially make some jobs obsolete. However, it is important to note that AI is not a replacement for human workers. AI can automate tasks, but it cannot replace the human touch that is often necessary in customer service, sales, and other fields.

In fact, AI can actually create new jobs. For example, AI can be used to create chatbots that can help businesses automate tasks such as customer service and lead generation. This can free up human employees to focus on more creative and strategic work.

Overall, AI is a tool that can be used to improve efficiency and productivity. However, it is important to use AI responsibly and ethically. We should not allow AI to replace human workers, but we should use it to empower them.

If humanoid robots were able to replace all jobs and humans no longer needed to work, it would have significant implications for the social structure of poverty and wealth. On the one hand, the absence of work would likely lead to a reduction in poverty, as all basic needs could be met through the provision of goods and services by the robots.

However, on the other hand, the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of those who own and control the robots could lead to increased inequality and a widening gap between the wealthy and the rest of society. This could have significant social and political implications, as those who control the robots could potentially wield immense power over the rest of society.

In order to prevent this scenario from playing out, it would be important to ensure that the benefits of the robot economy were distributed fairly and equitably. This could involve policies such as a universal basic income or a progressive tax system that redistributes wealth from those who control the robots to those who do not. It may also be necessary to establish regulations that ensure that the development and deployment of robots are carried out in a responsible and ethical manner that takes into account the social impact of automation.
