You'd think on their citizens voting for their own state alone California/Illinois/New Jersey would be among the top states.

A little surprised Michigan's first of the traditional midwest states on the ranking. Minnesota or Wisconsin come to mind as more hospitable
locales. Minnesota not far down the list but somehow Wisconsin ended up in the bottom quartile with Illinois/Kansas/Missouri/Indiana/Iowa

Rhode Island ahead of Massachusetts? How? Other than pizza, Rhode Island is all the worst parts of Mass with none of the good parts. Rhode Island's basically a southern state that floated north and wedged itself between Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Gotta be a disconnect between people thinking of Illinois and associating it with Chicago. Cuz if you just asked folks to rank Chicago/Cleveland/Des Moines/Milwaukee/Detroit/Boise...Chicago wins those matchups.

But maybe folks hear or read "Illinois" without reference to or context of Chicago and Chicago isn't automatically called to mind? I dunno.

Massachusetts would be great if there were some way to get rid of 99% of the state's residents. Truly vile, awful, villainous people with mostly abysmal taste in food. You wouldn't believe what passes for a hot dog around here.

Interesting, you seem quite enamored with the Clawmaster, and who isn't, afraid you will have to take a number and wait in line like everyone else my dance card is already filled with people much more intellectually and physically attractive than you.
