TREDYFFRIN TWP., Pa. -- A Pennsylvania teacher is facing 63 charges for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old student.

Michelle Mercogliano, 35, a special education teacher at Conestoga High School, was charged Wednesday by the Tredyffrin Township police.

The investigation began Monday when police were contacted by family members of a juvenile male student.

A criminal complaint obtained by ABC Philadelphia affiliate WPVI states the student says they had sex about 12 times since February. The majority of the interactions allegedly happened at Mercogliano's parents' house in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Court documents also say she purchased medical marijuana for the student about 15 times.

Not a teacher , but a nurse who decided it was a good idea to have sex with her 15 year old step son allegedly because "he looked like a younger version of her husband and IT was big. Dad walks in on the two--the son runs out of the house with his pants around his ankles. Relatives called the police rather than Dad who described his relationship with his wife as "complicated".

The wife allegedly said she wished they weren’t caught so they could’ve been “edging” into the morning.

She again made an off-the-cuff comment, comparing the teen’s looks to his dad’s.


“She commented on not realizing how big ‘IT’ looked. Saying it looked like his father’s penis with younger skin,” the teen told cops.

Von Yates then commented on the teen’s ability, giving him a seven out of 10 before saying he “had been around the block.”

I've taught for 26 years...mostly Middle School and have worked with High Schoolers. Not once has it ever crossed my mind that this would be cool, fun, ok, etc...

As Seacrest has said...it's not too difficult to say teachers shouldn't date students. I don't understand and cannot at all relate to any of these predators that have been mentioned in this thread.

I suspect the pathologies of a male and female teachers preying on students are different. But for the women, when their communications are revealed, MANY seem to be both emotionally stunted and attention-starved, and when you put females like that in close, daily proximity to sexually maturing males who are perpetually randy and not yet consumed by Pornhub...

To me any conversation involving teachers dating students is creepy. Almost as creepy as actually dating students. There are creeps in the field of education just as there are creeps in every other profession. When you encounter one you have an obligation to report them to the authorities. Its really all you can do. But endlessly speculating on who may or may not be "dating" or "sexing" children is almost as weird and creepy as actually dating the children themselves.
