the close-to-dying thing made me think of an incident I had. When my son was a baby... a few months old or so, we were all sleep deprived as one is with an infant. One summer evening, probably a Friday around 6:00, we ordered Thai food from Amarind on North Ave and I went to go get it and I took my son with. I strapped him in the car seat and off we go. We drive up and park on right out in front on North Ave. I hop out, go in, and wind up having to wait 10-15 minutes for my food. Finally I get the food, drive home, bring the food in and first thing my wife says is, "where's Junior?" ....Whattaya mean, "where's Junior?, why are you asking me ------ my fucking heart about stopped realizing I took him with and forgot about him the minute I left the garage. Of course I ran out to the garage and he's in the car, sound asleep. To this day my wife does not know I left him unattended in a car on North Ave on a warm summer evening while I twiddled my thumbs waiting for Thai food.

So whenever you hear those stories about a kid baking to death in a car I remember this story, and think, damn, I probably could have done that under the wrong circumstances.

AJ took a tumble off of his Boppy when he was about 5, maybe 6 mos old. Just as he was starting to roll around and move a bit. I would come in from work, get him out of the car seat carrier, then set him in his boppy as I took the dog out and changed out of work clothes. Well one time I was about 2 seconds too late to catch him and he hit the floor. He cried, but was perfectly fine eating dinner like 3 minutes later. Luckily he landed more on his thighs and belly before he flipped over. Landing on his head could have been terrible.

Our Boppies we no longer used after that night. We really didn't know quite how mobile he had become at that point.

So a boppy is a cat bed that you put your baby in?

Seems kind of taunting. A baby can't read.

one time at milwaukee stadium my wife wanted caramel corn. I went to go find some. I also had to piss like a racehorse. before and after pissing I noticed a bag of caramel corn just sitting in the corner of the sink area. after peeing i had then realized that its probable someone forgot their bag of popcorn. So i went over washed my hands right next to it and as i left grabbed the popcorn and walked away with it. Saved 12 bucks. I have never told her that was popcorn i found in the bathroom.

She probably just assumed it came out of the garbage.

as was explained previously. We had a good sit down chat about garbage eating and how that a stipulation of our marriage was that that practice ended. I'm sure she still isn't sure, but i believe she thought this was legit caramel corn.

My guess is that she brought this fact up to you, and that's her "go to" icebreaker for conversations. This also seems like a good fake thing to say because who is really going to research this to see if you are Wizzo's niece or nephew. It is certainly possible that she could be, but how can one really know?

Wizzo was Marshall Brodien, right? I think he lived in Batavia or something.

Have to think about how freaky that girl was if she made it up...why not just say you were his daughter or went for Cookie's offspring, who is more famous than Wizzo.

She seems like a delicate genius.

It looks like we're all dancing around it but no one wants to come out and say it: she was in all likelihood procuring Wizzo kidneys.

There are way way way too many board members and relatives of board members with random

I tried to be up front and honest about my dirtiest laundry right away when my wife and I started dating. The only thing I left out was my on and off love affair with Copenhagen. Made it about 2 years before I finally got busted
