it does have merit in my eyes too. more than once i have met a guy who hired me, things were going great for a couple months, he thought i was the best guy hes found in years... then the moment i mention there is no god, everything changes. he starts preaching tons of religous shit and every tiny problem i have he tries to compel me to listen to god. thats when i have to find a new job because everything from that point on becomes tied to some religious bullshit when its supposed to be about making money.
Here is some career advise for you...don't talk about religion. Don't bring it up. Don't talk about it. Don't tell him that you don't think there is a God. If this has happened to you more than once then apparently you have difficulty learning lessons.
I hate to agree with SH, but this is good advice. Never talk about politics or religion in the work place.

so you guys, once again, have no fucking clue what the point of this thread is.
they made a law in madison to protect peoples religion- even if they dont have one.
I understand perfectly what the point of the thread is. You said that you tell your boss that there is no god, and then you are looking for a new job, shortly thereafter. It would appear that Scorehead and I have given you some good advice.

when your boss asks you- what religion are you? just casually... just something to talk about in the middle of the day... you guys are sitting here telling me you don't respond?
I have never had a boss talk to me about religion. Union tradesmen rarely see their bosses. I have worked at companies, where I have never met the person who signs my check.
If that topic did come up, I would politely respond that my religion is a private manner, and I don't wish to discuss it at the workplace.

your zombie asses will never get a better job because of your 'advice'. the amount of stupidity on these boards is usually entertaining, but sometimes i feel like im talking to apple's siri
Why would you insult people's jobs/situations when you don't even know what they are? It sounds like Scorehead is doing alright for himself. I am more than content with my situation. I have done well enough to own my own home, and have three cars without a car payment. I go see Phish, and play golf whenever I feel like it.
Scorehead's advice, which I echoed, was indeed sound.
