Ok, I'm familiar with that area, had friends that lived around there. Renwood... there is a golf course I haven't played in many years. They used to have

I have accepted a position as the interim director of academic affairs (academic dean) for my campus starting on July 1. That's right, I have to (sigh) become an adult and do things like wear suits to work and stuff.
As it starts on July 1, I have doing fun stuff since school ended. Monday, my wife and I dropped my kids off at school and went kayaking down the Schuylkill River. Today, we dropped the kids off at school and went to Hershey Park.

Yes, it is clocking in year round but I do get more free time in the summer, not as much as I do now (my faculty contract is a 36 week contract where this is a 48 week). That's why I'm doing all the fun stuff now. That is one of the reasons I was ambivalent about taking the position, I really like my work/life right now, but I think I will enjoy the job. However, we are doing it as a one year contract and have a discussion about it next summer.

My kid took part in a 24-hour running challenge with her junior high over the past two days. She completed 22 miles over the 24 hours, including a 5:30 mile at some point in the middle of the night. I'm taking full credit for my genes.

My sister had her first round of Chemo today. She is doing okay.
