Oak Forest seems to have a mental block when it comes to facing Lemont.

Head out to a bar on the south side of Chicago with that comment. See how far it gets you.

another disappointing loss to Montini. Go Joliet Catholic!

I'll be following E.P., L.Z., and Cary Grove, from here on out...

Nice win for EP, although I was rooting for Brooks...a private school on the South side. EP's dream ends next week -vs- Rock Island - Allemen
Maine South losing at home to Glenbard North is the highlight of the season thus far. Huge upset. I'll be at GN next week for their tilt -vs- Loyola Academy.
Joliet Catholic has turned a 5-4 season into a pretty good playoff run. JC -vs- Montini might be the game of the week.

If you watched the final clip of the Joliet Catholic game you know that guy most likely broke the plane on the 2 point conversion. I think the Joliet Catholic guy pushed him back before the referee could see if the ball broke the plane.

The Montini/Joliet Catholic game will likely be the game of the week because it's a rematch of last year's state final. Being a home game should be an advantage for Montini. Joliet Catholic is a 13 seed, but that doesn't really matter when you have one game to go to get back to the state championship game.

I should add that Montini's only losses on the season were Lincoln Way West and Marian. Joliet Catholic was 5-4 in the regular season.

Brooks is a CPS selective enrollment school.

EP defeated Alleman last year in the playoffs. Not exactly a guaranteed loss next week.

There is something very wrong with Aurora Christian being in 3A. They hung with and beat most of the 5A and 6A teams they played this year...hell they hung right with Montini.

ACC and Marian didn't even play this year. the SCC conference is a joke...Marian should have moved in the Fox Valley Conference with Johnsburg leaving.

They are a school with 1A enrollment already playing in 3A.

They are a 1a enrollment with talent levels much higher than that do to Don Beebe.

Good catch. My mistake. Nice group of kids at Brooks.

The Tribune thing is wrong. Joliet Catholic is a 13 seed and Montini is a 3 seed.

I believe Brooks is the team that gave Kaneland a serious scare in week 1.

You only get one angle from the high school cube. If it's the pros and you have replay he's in. As it was the ball most likely broke the plane. It's just that it's not the pros and even the refs can't see whether he made it or not.

I don't understand why the 12 seed hosts the 3 seed, but apparently that is what's happening.

They try to keep it an even number of home and away by the time you get to the semis, so each team will have two home and two away. It doesn't always work out that way though...

The higher seed team should get all the home games in my opinion.

It's never been like that and never will be. h.s. football tends to pay for uniforms for the majority of the remaining sports teams at the school. Playoff games are usually twice the regular season admission.

Seriously, I didn't even give a fuck about my high school's sports teams when I went there. And if you saw our records, neither did the players! =D
