Where in Canada are you? You'd think they'd be better equipped for this.

I am in Kenosha and usually they are totally prepared and there should be a surplus of salt piles lying
around but this snow seemed to be really hard to move due to the sheer weight of it all. Just shy of a
foot of extremely wet snow. My Jeep got stuck 3 separate times just trying to leave my parking lot
for an appointment last night. Needless to say I didn't make the appointment and ended up helping
half a dozen others get their cars in and out of the lot. It is still snowing up here and we are supposed
to get another 3 inches today.

Just finished my 3rd round of shoveling.

The Warren Township plow guy killed my mailbox.

The 4-6 inches predicted by that flaming assbag Tom Skilling are wrong, and he's a dipshit.

Skilling is terrible. He is almost always wrong and exaggerates everything immensely. If he says 7-10" of snow, you can figure about 4 or 5. If he says the temp will be 99 degrees, it will be about 92. He is the worst weatherman in town.

But lemmings love him because he uses a bunch of large words they don't actually understand nor can they spell, and his weather forecasts last 20 minutes.

No one has ever taken off his suspenders trembling in anticipation.

Skilling is great.

You can think he's bad, but he's not.

The whole agricultural industry hangs on his every word.

Oh, sorry. I guess some of the regulars refer to Wisconsin as Canada ( among other things ). Actually feels
like Canada today for once.

If you listen to his forecasts, and then pay attention to what actually happens, he is way off more often than not.

Not compared to other weathermen, though.

I dont really care. He is very respected.

He is always way more off than most other weather reports I hear. As Boyd said earlier, 4-6" was nowhere near close for the north burbs.

I'm a bit of a weather geek. I watch a lot of the reports and read a lot about it. He's is wrong a lot.

I did a science project on the accuracy of meteorologists when I was a kid. They are all off. Some more than others. Skilling was close to, if not the best when it comes to accuracy. But like I said, none of them are really all that good.

These seven day forecasts are ridiculous. Five days aren't much better. Nobody can accurately predict the weather that far in advance. But people like it, so they do it.

You are both correct.

I like the con, but find his passion for what he does very enticing. When i want real weather forecasts, I go to weather.com.

He's incredibly well respected and considered near the top of his profession.

Oh, but Frank perceives he's "always way more off".

OK, he was wrong for the northern suburbs & Canada. He was pretty spot on for the rest of us (the majority  )

But I give him a lot of credit for making the $$ working with the ag industry. I was shocked when I first heard of those big side paydays.

God dammit, you're ruining the anti-Skilling narrative!

Yeah. People probably expect a lot from him because he makes his forecast so technical. Of course some of his shit is off, but he's still the best in town.

Except for that chick with the smokers voice who wore the leather jackets on Fox a few years back. She screamed "credibility"...

Watch Tom Skilling, listen to B&B, and root for the Cubs. The trifecta of Chicago bad.

Clearly Frank is. He watches a lot of other people's work and compiles all of it to give us, The CSFMB, the weather reports we deserve.

 No, not her. But I always thought the Freeze thing was a fantastic stage name.

I can't remember the chicks name. She would do weather in the morning and was trying to be.....something. Not sure what.

Maybe (most likely) SHARK knows who I'm talking about.

Barely had a voice. Wore black leather sometimes. Blonde, I think...
