He had the two hottest golfers on the planet steam-rolling everyone....and he "rested them" yesterday afternoon. How'd that work out? They got us...........nothing after their rest. Tiger absolutely blew chunks Friday morning - then he sent him back out in the afternoon? Terrible. I could go on and on.
Come on, Ugie. DL III was way, way out over his skis this weekend. He sucked.


Tiger sucked. He gets blame.

DL III was supposed to be "in charge" and doing what was best for the team. He gets the most blame.

Mickelson asked to sit Saturday afternoon. Going into the tournament DLIII specifically said Mickelson and Woods would do whatever they wanted. Phil asked to sit, so he sat. I don't understand what the captain could have done differently when he stuck to his word.

Again I repeat, (as a secondary complaint):

DB to the PGA/Ryder Cup format also for not letting the captains work out the match-ups together. This was absolutely fantastic sports theater out of dumb luck. Imagine what it could have been if they let the right guys face each other each day.

DL III said ahead of time "no one" would play 5 matches this weekend (absolutely STUPID strategy).
Phil and Keegan absolutely destroyed the course and the other team, and then Phil had to respect the "team's" (read: Davis's) rule about no one playing 5 matches and said the right thing.

If you believe what you just posted - then why did Keegan sit yesterday afternoon? He didn't "ask to sit out", right? Davis made a bad, bad, choice yesterday afternoon. He had the chance to step on the throats of the Europeans and got way too comfortable. And he has to pay for that.

I'm not blaming Phil for the loss if that is what you're implying. And as far as whether the strategy was stupid or not... did you just watch the same Sunday I did? The Euros simply dominated the day. It had nothing to do with the previous two days.

The Americans needed 4.5 points out of a possible 12. They simply got beat.

The Americans would have won with 1 more point (Tiger's match was moot).

Because it was a "coach's decision". The same reason nobody else played 5 matches this weekend. Phil doesn't make the USA's decisions - DL III does. Please tell me you acknowledge that point.
