JCA defense not very good. Even with TY a win will be tough to come by.

The higher seed team should get all the home games in my opinion.

No they should not. Seeds are based on total wins and not on coaches vote like other sports.

They stopped them on their first drive. That's 1 more time than they stopped them in last years game. Ty ran for 16 on his first carry. It's really too bad he's so soft.

Good. I hate Montini. Though It would be nice to see a team that benefited from transfers (JCA) beat the team that relies on transfers on a yearly basis (Montini) to stay relevent.

13-7. Montini had a 60 yard touchdown pass called back then went right down the field.

21-14. Montini scored in less than a minute. JC needs to take some air out of the ball on this drive.

28-14. So much for that. Another short touchdown pass set up by 2 long runs by Ty. He has 194 yards rushing in the first half.

Go Morris....at least they field a team consisting of players from the district vs poaching their roster.

31-21. Montoini keeps the pressure on. 3:30 left in the 3rd quarter. JC needs a long scoring drive here.

Big 4th down stop for Montini right there. Kind of a stupid call by JC to go for it.

Montini scored a touchdown then tried a fake extra point (????) and were stopped. 31-27. Dumb.

4th and 2 Montini went for it and converted. They have the ball at the 1 with .34 seconds left. This has been a great game.

Report: Police called after Mount Carmel fan caught taping Neuqua Valley practice

Tribune staff report

3:28 pm, November 17, 2012

A Mount Carmel fan was caught illegally videotaping Neuqua Valley's practice from the stands Friday, in advance of Saturday's Class 8A semifinal between the teams, according to a Sun-Times report.

Naperville police were called to the scene, and the 56-year-old North Aurora man said he was scouting on his own and not under the direction of the Caravan, according to the story.

Neuqua Valley did not press charges.

Loser.

I was thinking about leaving at halftime I'm glad I stuck around. It was a great game for Montini. I'm glad that Joliet Catholic lost not only because I root for Montini, but also because I despise the double wing offense. That type of offense only works in high school. You get up a couple touchdowns early in the game and then you run the clock out. From the Joliet Catholic games I've seen if you take Ty Issac off the field they don't get very far in the playoffs.

Looks like Montini will get Morris next week. Kaneland beat Morris a few weeks ago dammit and they get to advance because they lucked out with the weak half of the bracket with the only tough opponent being SHG today.

Cary Grove is beating up on Lake Forest 35-21.

Brother Rice beat St. Rita 34-30. Rita had the ball at the 9 with .08 left and couldn't convert.

Certainly they have picked up some players here and there, but in the last 4 years most of the offensive players have come up through their program. It's not as though they are getting an entire team of ringers every year.

I think the reason why they've done so well is the coaching. They've gone to the state championship with 4 different quarterbacks. They've also won some really tough games. The first state championship was won on a two point conversion. This last game against Joliet Catholic was won in part because of the decision to not kick a field goal late in the game on 4th down.
