Radar predictions I saw looks good for you. We are supposed to switch over around sunset. Time to settle in with the stout I picked up last night.

Went with a barrel aged milk stout from Geneseo Brewing company that I grabbed a howler of yesterday It’s nice, and like supporting the locals. Been a while since I had that cherry stout. Always enjoyed it.

How is their bread platter? I could go for some good focaccia.

I haven't gone back to Bell's Stouts since Founder's Breakfast Stout came along. Right Brain's CEO Stout is another quaffable stout. Bell's stouts always seem too syrupy for my taste, but I've mostly had the Expedition Stout; which I don't know if they even still make Expedition anymore or if it's been replaced by the Kzoo Stout. I'll happily drink a six of Bell's Porter no problem.

My goto bells winter beer was the dopplebock Consecrator but that has often been a tough find. Didn’t like the founders breakfast stout much when I had it but tastes change.

Just came in from feeding cows- its misting lightly, almost like a fog, and freezing on everything. This could be bad, way worse than 10-12 inches of snow.

Yeah.. tomighy is going to be ugly. We have rain, turning to freezing rain turning to wet snow and wind.. you know as well as I know how great that is for cattle.

I'm always amazed the cows seem to like to stand out in the falling snow, a layer forms on their backs and neck and head, so the heat must be kept inside well. I know wet isn't good, but, with a small group, all mine can get under cover if they choose., with a nice, steaming warm manure pack to lie upon.

One of my college professors raised sheep, and they bred them to lamb during the winter, then sheared them in the fall- this kept them closer to the barn during birthing times, rather than dropping tiny, near-helpless lambs out in the snowy pasture or woods.

Isn't there a big haunted mansion out that way? Or is that in Wayne?

And Wayne. Can’t recall a haunted house in Wayne though.

8 inches. Pulte Estates is clean down to the blacktop. Thanks Plow King for filling up the end of the driveway twice while I was out there.

East wind here most of the night, big drift in the yard, but bare pavement on the driveway mixed with four inch drifts. Could have been much worse.

I haven't been out yet, waiting on Piglet to get up to shovel, but it is an absolute mess up here.

Went out a couple times already. Last time was with the kids and we managed to clear the garage and the alley to the street.

Dammit.

Battery light came on yesterday. Forgot about it when the truck fired up this morning.

Now I'm waiting on AAA.

The blower handled it well this morning. Maybe it's a little colder here.
