I do think that there is a real problem going forward. Technology is eliminating so many jobs filled by people without an education. We also pushed way too many kids into the college or bust route. So people are not learning trades. For people clearly not interested in academic pursuits high school should be a time to learn a trade. And there are way too many soft majors at the college level as well. Drama, Sociology, etc. Although, just about any major is better than "business".
