Just because something isn't your thing doesn't mean its necessarily a bad thing. I see that a lot in what you post. You show up in threads to bitch and moan about content just because its not your thing.
There are a number of things that i'm not into on here. If I'm not into i don't comment.
Everyone is free to voice their opinion but the notion that the opinion of certain posters should necessarily take precedence over others is B.S.
I find guys that show in certain threads simply for the purpose of bitching about certain posters. How is that contributing to a better board?
Sometimes discussions evolve. I'm in education and i'd be screwed up if i stopped an engaging discussion simply to "stay on task".
What? You're not responding to any actual things I said. I wasn't bitch in about the
content of the discussion. I was commenting on the fact that threads shouldn't be constantly hijacked and turn into page after page after page of you and others making personal snipes at each other and rehashing the same arguments you've had 100 times. It's easy to sit there and say "well, just ignore them," but it becomes fucking impossible.
I never show up in threads to bitch about the topics being discussed. I might comment on the fact that you and JLN are calling each other names and writing page-long rebuttals on the same tired arguments you've had 100 times.
I check the board in the morning and then usually not again until late afternoon. When I check it in the afternoon, I can pretty much guarantee that the view active topics list will have at least 2 or 3 threads that were once about light-hearted or funny topics in the morning that by afternoon are 20 pages of you yelling bigot and JLN citing obscure case law.
There is no bigger thread destroyer than Brick. When you see him coming run. Do you want me to bump all of the threads that he has screwed up with his obfuscations, deflections, senseless trolling, personal attacks, silly ass innuendo etc.. He is a damn torpedo writ large.
He gets a damn pass on it too.
The whole tempo changes and he belabors the hell out of points also.
Doesn't seem to bother people though. There is too much inconsistency in terms of perception on here.
