I didn't imply anything as better, worse, or equal. I listed other forms of sexual immorality according to the Catholic Church. Some of which we as a society have made distinctions for. You have no idea what I think of it or acts of it.

No "we" had "more important" issues to concern ourselves with than the sex life of homosexual men thank you very much. Not really "relevant" when it came to obtaining a degree in history.. Certainly not. I listed moral evils too. I did not equate them, nor does the church.

I wonder if some of the loudest people in this thread have a gay, lesbian, or bisexual child. That may explain why they've decided to blame a book, politicians, and teachers for what their child is.

We also shouldn't be conflating homosexuality with "trans." Obviously, homosexuals have allowed or encouraged such for political purposes but as Spaulding mentioned somewhere such a coalition will ultimately prove to be untenable.

Homosexuality is simply an outlier. An abnormality. Before anyone takes issue with that characterization, let me say it has to be an abnormality in a species that reproduces via male/female sexual congress. It's not a judgment.

"Trans", on the other hand, is clearly a disorder. A disorder we refuse to acknowledge for political purposes. It's no different than anorexia or body integrity dysphoria. It's a sickness and we are doing those afflicted no favors by pretending it is not.

Gay marriage isn't something I care about one way or the other. But I don't think it's "hateful" to ask what the purpose of marriage is, why we even have such an institution, and how said institution fits into society.

I certainly don't think sex is simply for procreation. But I do think the main purpose of marriage (Not all marriages. I'm on my second one and we don't have kids) is to form a basis for stable families and a certain type of society overall.

No the point is we are all sinners and our salvation and eternal life is thru the belief in Jesus as our Savior. Gay people are no more or less evil than I am or anyone else and we are all equal when we stand before God. While some sins are worse than others God doesn't have a scoresheet he works off of that determines whether or not somebody gets into heaven. It's open to all of us regardless of what we have done.
