Thank God for Bill Maher's hypocrisy. Calling out that display with the Navy Seal wife for what it was while just a few months ago praising the Khan family and the moment they had at the DNC.

He also praised the Seal widow as having a "real" moment. His vitriol was for Trump and the media who painted it as Trump being some great guy.

He literally praised the DNC for the "classy moment". You can't get more hypocritical than saying that and ripping Trump.

I thought he didn't say much about the Khans but just went after Trump for responding to the father's criticism.

Trump is the first politician that ever used others to promote an agenda. Unprecedented!

Yeah, I can't find anywhere where he heaped praise on the Khans or DNC, and I don't remember it either. Link?

He has a lot of praise for the DNC and specifically praised the Khan family moment.

I watched the shows last year and heard it. It's not in an article I read online.

I'll take your word for it. Calling it a "beautiful moment" doesn't sound like his cynical ass, though.

Find all the fault you want. Just don't act like he's inventing things that have never been done before. The first premise behind much of the criticism of Trump is that everything is "unprecedented", and that simply is not true. Presidents bring widows and the parents of dead soldiers to speeches all the time and give them shout-outs. Have you ever been offended by it before?

Classy moment is what I'm almost certain he said, and that's pretty believable. You really think he was cynical about Hillary's campaign last year? If you can't have the chicken, eat the fish!

Classy would be more believable than beautiful. I was saying he's cynical in general. Cynics don't generally use words like beautiful.

I would have been offended if the media had made it out as a moment that defined him. The guy's an assclown, and that moment only further cements that fact; it doesn't refute it.

lol, trumps tweet about obama wiretapping just goes to prove how fucking stupid he is.

1) obama couldn't order a wiretap. Only a Judge could have.

2) if a Judge did order one, that means he had probable cause of a crime by Trump. Which means if Trump's claim is real (even though it came from Breitbart), that means he actually is under investigation of a crime... and now he just made it widely public.

What a fuckin idiot.

They get ripped for it too. See GWB

I wasnt offended by the moment but the media and public reaction was way over the top. He became President in that moment?

No he did what politicians do all the time. Although I understand if Van Jones was predicting that would be tge reaction

I believe its plausible Trump looked at that mission and said the hell with it let's "go in without saying anything about it" as he spoke about in the campaign. He got that kid killed with a mixture of his simplistic view and ego.

Oh and the back and forth on whether it was a success and blaming Obama or saying "They Lost Ryan" just made the whole thing very....SAD!

If Obama said "They lost Ryan" Sean Hannitys head would literally explode

Wrong Obama can order. A judge has to okay it. It would be easy for him to get a sympathetic one for him to do what he wanted, just look around at lawsuits. thing.
The initial tap no one is upset about, they found nothing . No one is upset about that., The continuation if it did happen is what is upsetting as it took place during a election and was focused on an opposition party. The simple fact that if it did happen and the HRC campaign was fed the information shows just how fucking incompetent and bush league the DNC actually is.

The lack of accountability is what really was disheartening. Just admit that it was your mission and don't spin it as a resounding success when everyone knows it was a failure.

As for Maher himself ,at this point he can go fuck a dead dog. He is past the point of being relavant and or funny. He like 99% of most topical comics right now are so far left they lost sight of their objectivity. Case in point is what happen to John Caparulo who got a beer mug thrown at him this week then was like I am supposed to do comedy now. If you listen to the lead up to it he egged her on until she snapped. It is well known that Maher is so far left when he goes to strip clubs he only patronizes Black dancers, no joke . I love Lewis Black but he was dead fucking silent during the last eight years about the bullshit from the Obama admin. One of my favs ,Bill Burr who is pro Trump can not get a gig in most places now because of it unless he travels outside the big cities.
Every one praises Maher, I used to like him, when he was balanced. Now he is a broken record like John Stewart. Nothing but a mouth piece for the left, and what is sad is a ton of millennials get heir info from shows like his and the daily show. If you want to call anything "fake news" all you got to do is point right at it. I know Hannity and Fox but they admit they slant to the right.

1) re: "go fuck a dead dog" i'm pretty sure that now i'm too chickenshit to ever hang out with chas on a payday-night because judging by the fact that the first thought he had was "putting the best in bestiality" --- yeah, "#KeepIt" - Jason George Goff aka #MDPIA

2) in terms of "being relavant" i'm pretty sure that "relavancy" is something only chas can attain because, uhhh, it sure seems like he just invented the damn word right now! #amiriteguys?!

3) if chas ever stumbles across some bill hicks standup/sets i think his poor little head just might explode... [and yes, this is definitely a double entendre... think about it in both positive/negative ways 0 =]

If you want to call anything "fake news" all you got to do is point right at it. I know Hannity and Fox but they admit they slant to the right.

Maher was good when he was showing how terrible the Bush/Cheney administration was and how wacko nut jobs from the right wing were with their Obama conspiracy theories and outright hate of a black president.

But now the tables have turned. Maher sounds like the left wing version of those conspiracy theorists. In a matter of months his show has become the Hannity for the left.
