By dissapearing for a bit Ivan, apparently you were protesting the deletion of the Nas profile. I was busy and didn't check in that weekend either, so apparently I protested as well.

Except for KI is the only one of the "group" that actually posted on here that he was going to take the break because of the "nonsense" before taking it. Maybe others did too, I just didn't see those....

Amazing too that he took a break because of the "nonsense" but yet comes back and starts stirring crap right away. Maybe the break was not long enough.

Saying that Hockey sucks is stirring crap?

Thats laughable. Ivan is stating theory that has nearly been proven fact.

I won't get into my reasons for not posting, but most of it had nothing to do with the board. Add to that some of the silliness that was taking place, and I decided to do some other stuff. Not sure I would consider that a protest, but who gives a shit?

Now defend your wack ass "sport", spanky...

Stirring crap? Looks like that's what you're trying to do.

Call it whatever you like, but when you stop posting and make a specific post saying you are leaving because of the nonsense around here then you come back and as soon as you get back you bump an old thread just to get a rise out of the hockey fans on here, then yes IMO that is stirring crap.

i'd rather have someone 'stirring crap' than someone whose only contribution to the board is repeating what others have said and adding emoticons :ncool:

If you don't like the picture of the "sweater" I just gave you, then I may need to start a different thread.

I'm pretty sure that girl has taken pictures in a variety of jerseys and what not. Has nothing to do with the validity of your "sport". Very weak, but I would expect nothing less from a hockey fan. No cheap victories for you here, spanky...

There is a level of skill required to play hockey that is unbelievable. The night in/night out beatdown that is the playoffs take it to a higher level. Case in point, Hossa played the Stanley Cup Finals with one knee falling apart.

If you (or any non-hockey fans)cannot appreciate that, that is fine. Personally, I would rather watch paint dry than NBA basketball, but I do not deny that there is a high level of skill involved there as well.

My question is, why does tennis suck so much?

Because the goddamed Hawks 1-2 and I've heard no less than 3 calls into the Score (might have even been more, I've only been able to half pay attention to the radio) that this team is done and that Turco sucks.

And people call baseball and Bears fans meatheads.

Start a tennis thread.

Hockey players are morons. Don't confuse that with being tough or taking it to "another level". As for the skill involved, you have to be able to skate. Point taken. If you can skate, you can play hockey. I guess that's.....something. "Congratulations on learning how to skate, come play this lame ass game (for pennies) that nobody cares aboooot"...

What happened to the bandwagon? Over the summer you would see the Hawks gear everywhere, now I barely hear a peep anywhere about the Hawks. Is it not cool to like hockey again?

I'm not referring to intelligence. I am referring to physical ability. There is a lot of energy that is required to play at a high level. The "tough guy" part of the game annoys the hell out of me too. I watch it for the speed and the back and forth nature of it.

Like every sport, the lowest common denominator fan (aka meatball) make it a less enjoyable experience. The problem is that it is that same meatball that get's most of the overreactive exposure for each individual sport. No one wants to talk to anyone who has perspective that it is an 82 or 162 game season (football is a little tougher to not react harshly to) because, quite frankly, it's boring, and it would give us all nothing to mock.

I am strongly considering starting another (very popular) thread where I will give a list of suggestions by which hockey can become....watchable, at the very least. I may open it up to suggestions from everyone. I'm still trying to decide...
