That quiz was pathetic, and way too black or white.

Yeah that poll was ridiculously binary. I don't even know how to answer a question like pick one of the following - "poor people have it easy because they live off the government" or "poor people have it hard because government doesn't help them enough". Both statements are idiotic.

Much like my genetics, I am truly a mutt when it comes to politics.

I tend to side with conservatives when it comes to fiscal issues but lets get real for a moment, most people with an R next to their name are hardly fiscally conservative. Bush was spending like a madman for 8 years and Obama picked up where he left off.

Socially I side with the liberals for the most part. I'm pro-choice but with some reservations.. (late term abortions for instance). I don't care about gay marriage, let it happen... call it something else if using the word marriage gets you all hot and bothered, just let people live their lives.

I'm for 2nd amendment rights.

I'm ambivalent on immigration issues. We have laws on the books if we want to get more strict, we can enforce them.

I'm against our position as world policeman.

I'm for legalizing drugs (I'd like to see everything legalized, just to stop the drug trafficking/save money on prisons).

He's not wrong. I supported President John Kerry in '04 (rather too vehemently, which turned me off lib politics) and for some reason (prolly the bad taste '04 left) McKinney in '08 (would go Obama now, if re-drafting '08), but also flirted with Romney in 2012 before going with Obama. So...yeah, I guess.

you'd think they'd present the propositions with rheostatic alternatives rather than a simple binary (should islamz be shot and killed in the street on sight or should they be given free everything and live in your house and marry your sister? come on, answer!) like this quiz does it:

This plays into my distaste for Hillary. Most of my friends are liberals. But the liberals are far more dogmatic and arrogant about their politics than the Republicans, though I do have one conservative friend who almost makes up for that single-handedly.

Anyway, Nas made a bad list. Where are RPB and Bagels on the left? And Darkside may be conservative on a few issues but I'd call him liberal as well.

Yes, how a candidate values pitching wins in valuating a pitcher's contributions will determine how much of my Vote Support they get. What's the problem?

Since you all are hell bent on dividing people into tight little compartments that your minds can understand, then you should first define terms like left and right.

Some of the confusion/distaste some of us feel about left/right categories might be less confusing/distasteful if you view the political spectrum as more of a circle than a flat x-axis line--rather than polar opposites, "radical/progressive left" and "radical or libertarian right" end up being neighbors on the circular political spectrum. some/many here appear to hop back and forth across the north end of the y axis, depending on the issue. at least i do:
