Anyone getting ready for this year? So much has happened in Trump's first year, so it should bring out some great Thanksgiving fights.

My wife and I are hosting her parents only this year, so discourse should be minimal as there are only four of us. But my mother-in-law is a tried-and-true irrational democrat. And while we both don't like Trump, her arguments always come from a place of emotion, so it's hard to have a conversation as I like to be more rational. We'll see how it goes.

Everybody knows when my family gets together, nobody steps to me. If anybody tries to start with the right wing lip flapping, they're going to get ten pounds of manflesh in the shape of fierce pinecones coming right at them--and you'll take that coniferous beating with full on responsibility.

Of course, most of my family is suitably liberal. Sometimes not left enough for me, but if they don't open their minds up enough, I got enough fist strength to pry them open myself.

There's a cousin of ours that tries to strain our bond, the usual claptrap of conservatard spewing. But he knows that once my gears are greased, and well oiled, I'm a machine that has no off button. So you best come prepared.
