Make Chicago its own state and we may have something here. Downstate is owned by the so called up state that is the Chicago metro area. Fuck this. Been a problem for many years. I do not live in Chicago nor would I care to. Suburbs maybe. I am happy out here in hayseed country. Hee Haw.

We already have one Indiana in this country.

My townhouse is going on the market two years from now. My 84 year old, recently widowed, father wants his only child to get the fuck out of this miserable state, even though I'll have to fly in to visit him for three days every other week for the foreseeable future (folks on his side likes to live into their mid-90s if they don't get dementia earlier).

It's going to be either Raleigh/Chapel Hill, Charleston SC, or Tampa, depending on how much I'm working and whether I want to buy or just rent until after the 2020 election.

It's entertaining to read your posts. I mean, you clearly try to portray yourself as some sort of well-informed cultural savant... and that's okay - we all use the internet as a way to play an alternate identity. But what I find funny is how hard you try to maintain that persona. For example, if you really have to pretend to have a visceral reaction to the industry of the Fox River Valley, you're probably trying too hard. But I don't eliminate the possibility that you actually do have that reaction (and therefore have some severe emotional problems that should be dealt with by professionals).

Basically, your existence and your message board persona only leave a few options as to what you are:

- A guy who tries really hard to seem informed, to the point where you (again) have strong negative feelings about Caterpillar having a plant in Aurora
- A guy who actually is really informed but has severe social disorders which result in you having to drive people around in a car for a living
- A guy who is completely full of shit and has created an online persona that is nothing like your actual existence

That is due to Madigan Gerrymandering the entire state. The few times someone tries to run against him in a primary he adds 2 or 3 additional candidates. The republican oppoistion is typically some life long government worker put in place to run against him.

The sad thing is that Madigan opposed the ballot amendment for an independently drawn map and the courts agreed with him. We need a constitutional convention to address a lot the limitations in the state constitution.
