I don't think anyone here is saying bomb Syria. Directly military action would be an awful idea, especially when any attack on their air defense is likely going to kill some Russian observers who are really running it.

However, it may be a good idea to scrap the Geneva talks right now and perhaps step up the economic pressure on Assad. Assad thought he was close to winning this and was hoping the Geneva talks would give him a lasting cease fire to consolidate his coastal base. Let him know that's not happening.
