The 2016 Cubs would destroy the 2005 Sox.

One thing people forget about that Sox team is how dominant they were on the mound. The team posted a cumulative 125 ERA+. And if there was one glaring weakness of that 2016 Cubs team, it was churning out runs against good pitching and good teams. They performed worse than the league average against teams that finished .500+.

2016
Rk Tm ≥.500
1 TEX 60-31
2 TOR 58-45
3 BOS 55-48
4 CHC 31-25
5 CLE 48-43

2005
Rk Tm ≥.500
1 STL 47-30
2 BOS 39-28
3 LAA 44-35
4 CHW 39-33
5 ATL 57-51

Sox fans are like the modern-day Republican party. Fact-free.

Cub fans are like the SJW left. Way too oversensitive about everything and treats opinions as facts.

Fact-Free comments from Sox fans, well, I've become accustom to that from the likes of GD, FF, Brick and Joe....but I expected better out of Roger. :(

So you are saying the Sox dominance was heightened because of playing nearly half their games against +.500 teams.

fact free? I said they were bum slayers. They played 106 games against sub .500 teams, far more than any other team in the top 5 of Kirkwood's grouping.

I'm assuming you were referring to this

They had a good record against winning teams last year too though...

Am I correct?

That was an ancillary. Read a few posts earlier where I showed a picture of a bum and a picture of Slayer.

Fair enough. The last thing I want to do is give Elmurst Steve an assist.
