These are public schools, not outside in the park or at the art gallery. A photograph and news story of the original "art work" would have done the trick. we don't "recreate" controversial educational events in the school. Do we "recreate" the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima? No we do not. We don't even know who Iwo Jima is.

Yeah, I really don't care. Disrespect the flag all you want. I do reserve the right, though, to pop in and say "bullshit" if you try to tell me you're not really trying to disrespect the flag. Besides, the uproar over the flag display in the library is the best possible lesson in the First these kids could get, I wish the school would have showed a little more spine about it, though.

The message the NFL is trying to send might not be about the flag, but it sure as hell is about the flag. When 911 happened, what did you see everywhere? The American flag. People pulled together as a nation under the flag and we overcame a horrible event in our lifetime. It was the symbol of unity, when chaos was threatening to destroy America. Without our unity we are weak as a nation.

America is like the carebears divided. We need to band together and STARE chaos into oblivion.

I think the constitution is a fine document. I also think MANY people on the left cannot burn it so they do best thing they can, which is to indoctrinate young people as to how horrible this country is. And it is working. Which is why this country is done for. Revolution should be fun!
