[img]Acts 4:32-35 New International Version (NIV)

The Believers Share Their Possessions

32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

I don't think you are "supposed" to believe anything.

I think the story of the repentant thief speaks for itself.

Yes.

What's not to love about Pope Francis?

"But each case must be welcomed, accompanied, studied, discerned and integrated. When a person (who is gay) arrives before Jesus, Jesus certainly will not say, 'Go away because you are homosexual,'" Francis said.

The Catholic church and other Christian communities must apologize to gay people and to many groups they have let down or offended throughout history, Pope Francis has said.

In a press conference Sunday on the flight back to Rome after his weekend trip to Armenia, the pontiff said bluntly: "The church must say it's sorry for not having comported itself well many times, many times."

"I believe that the church not only must say it's sorry ... to this person that is gay that it has offended," said the pope. "But it must say it's sorry to the poor, also, to mistreated women, to children forced to work."

"When I say the church: Christians," Francis clarified. "The church is holy. We are the sinners."

I'm Catholic but I am sorry to say that this Pope doesn't represent my understanding of the Catholic faith. I think he is a radical and a poor administrator. He says a lot of things that frankly shock me including his views on global warming, illegal immigration, gay issues, abortion, and others.

He also clearly talks a good game about punishing abusive priests and bishops but has failed to stop it in his Church. And also he talks about the rich giving more help to the poor all while the Vatican is among the richest "corporations" in the world.

Francis reminds me of just another liberal radical railing against all of the problems in the world and laying a guilt blanket on white so-called rich people. No thanks, Francis. I'll just live my life the way Sister Mary Holywater and Father Thomas taught me 60 or so years ago. Thanks anyway:)

The Pope said that Global Warming was responsible for the Catholic Priest cover-up.
