Turned it on, system dead, turned it off. This was a while ago. My wife hates allergies to pollen, I hate heat when I'm trying to sleep. Some nights I'm tempted to sleep in the barn.

83 on the upstairs thermostat last night. Trees are taking a break from pollination so windows open.

Anything higher than 72 in the house and that motherfucker is on. I didn’t realize that keeping your air conditioning off for as long as possible was a point of pride for some folks. Seems like a borderline Tournament of Bad contestant.

Mowing your lawn for therapeutic purposes because you had a bad relationship with your father (like that gay ass Mike & The Mechanics song) is also borderline ToB status. Although I’m fond of My Father’s House by Bruce. Brings a tear to my eye.

I never got that approach. When someone is in my place working, I try not to hover but make sure to offer refreshments a few times, and always take an apologetic stance when hurdles come up.

Was offered water or cold soda at 2 or 3 calls. Last guy was like dude you look really red are you ok and gave me a bottle of water as I got started and gave me another as I was leaving. Awesome dude.

I got the way-wah from the wife this morning- she was hot and tried to pass a kidney stone during the night. I need to clean the condenser and change the filter today so we can run it. I even offered to get a window unit for the master bedroom, so she can meat locker it and we don't need to cool the rest of the place to 50 every night. I spent 14 hours yesterday with my buddy- we tilled and planted 200 acres of soybeans- showered and slept in the recliner in the basement, almost chilly.

Same thing, without the kidney stone and the farming. Wife was bleedin' complainin', so I turned it on.

Hate it. The casa smells when the windows be closed. Feels unnatural--for May, at least. Such a waste of energy.
