I just know that a male lion doesn't have a chance about either unless it gets really lucky. Male lions are really just pussies against other animals unless they have to fight someone off to breed or kill a hyena or something. The best cat fighter in the animal kingdom among the big cats is the leopard.

Saw some really great footage awhile back between a grizzly who basically stole a big time piece of a dead ORCA from about 6-7 polar bears. He then laid on the ground while the polar bears growled while he dined. A hungry Griz is a bad ass animal:) There wasn't a polar bear who challenged him in that video:)
