So i take a walk during lunch time to pickup some food. Even w/ the pandemic, I need some exercise. I wear a mask always.
So went to pick up some Chinese food and had to wait in line which went outside the place and I was the only one waiting outside in line.
some fucking homeless bum came up to me and started to harass me. He's like why you outside, do you need help, let me talk w/ the manager to get you in. I tried not to talk or make eye contact but he came right up to my face, NO MASK, and started yelling how i did not respect him or shit i couldn't half make out.
He had this fucking pen and touched my shoulder with it. I yelled 'hey you just assaulted me fucker' which in retrospect was probably not a good idea to say. he backed off and sat on the concrete.
I hope the guy didnt give me covid thru his pen or face. i threw out the mask when I got back.
But was thinking what is the appropriate response in these situations? it caught me off guard but i shouldn't have been because there are so many of these homeless here in my son's neighborhood.
Need some advice what to do next time? and it may help others on this forum as well.
If there's a church on the walk back, go in and right a crandle for him.
