The best picture Android phones are usually Google Pixel phones or Huawei devices. The newest Galaxy Ultra may be the best Galaxy camera yet but Pixel and Huawei seem to have always been better.

All android cameras are hot garbage when compared to iphone. The videos are even worse. Seems like a pretty fixable issue, not sure why its still a problem in 2021

I have no issue with my pictures or videos with my Android, now when sending videos or pictures between Iphones and Android, it is not good.

I take videos at work all the time and send them amongst our tech group chat so people can see various things like repairs or weirdo issues that might be helpful later. Looks great on my android and other Android users report good video quality, but the iPhone users say it looks like shit and it does when I've seen the results on their phones.
It's probably Apple shitting up the quality of an android video to make nitwit apple Cult members feel superior to everyone else.

You guys need to be more specific when talking about phones. "Android phone" is meaningless when you want to talk about camera quality and whatnot. Unlike iPhones there are hundreds of versions of Android phones. In general like I said the Pixel line and Huawei have good camera phones. I don't think Huawei works with android anymore so maybe that's out. If you like phone pics and have a galaxy Ultra or Pixel you're probably fine. If you had a mid-tier phone on the android platform then it likely is substandard as a camera.

iPhone monochrome, 1:1 gives you that 1950s look. It really is great. Galaxy monochrome or noir, 1:1 looks really sharp, but lacks that 50s vibe.

I could transform the images to monochrome in Photoshop, but really like seeing the scene that way. It makes me a better shooter.

I won't argue that. Pixel phones may be able to compete though.
