i left a larger company for a small one 6 months ago. same, i didnt have much oversight before. i fucked off so much the days were boring

now im constantly busy because theres only 20 people total and we keep getting in more work. but its nice. when i need someone to do something, it gets done. and im in a much better industry now, its already a huge boost to my resume... so even if i dont see this place going anywhere, i have a whole new field of opportunity to walk into whenever i feel like it.

plus theres zero corporate bullshit here. no masks, injections, etc. and when we have meetings, theres actually tangible results. its really weird.

I sometimes fuck around w/ ppl on the phone , especially those scammers from other countries . I play along and when it gets to the credit card part, I purposely say things like ' 1.....5.....6.........this # looks like an upside down giraffe......8.....inverted swan looking thing....."

it drives them crazy and they start yelling. It's very amusing for me.

when coworkers die or anyone at work dies it shows you how employees are just a number.

When I was working, at one place we had a guy die. He died on a Tuesday and the company announced it on Friday afternoon.

Everyone was shocked and had so many questions.

Monday rolls around and you'd think the guy never existed. Everyone moved on and they found a replacement. No questions were even asked.

The people at jobs who do half ass work and don't give a shit are the smart ones.
