Yeah, there's some suspect stuff in there- her "informant." But it is hard to believe that a bunch of slaves quarried giant rocks and dragged them 500 miles to build these precision structures in twenty years when they would be difficult for us to build them today even with modern technology.
We could build them as easily as we build a 100 story building.

The pyramids just aren't all that useful.

 Khufu has withstood multiple devastating earthquakes. Building 7 couldn't withstand a plane crash two blocks away. The house that you live in likely won't exist in 50 years. The pyramids have been around for over 4000.

My house was built in '94. I can assure you it'll be standing in 2075. I live in the desert.

The house might exist in Phoenix 2075. The question is whether it'll be habitable.

the Bears could play there. and since it has a dome, you could host Final Four games and Beyonce concerts too .

I'll be more often in Flagstaff than Phoenix at the age of 84, if I'm still around. There's enough water in Maricopa County, it's only a problem for farmers. Which, is still a problem.

Is it meta to retire from a retirement community?

That's a design choice. The pyramids wouldn't last 4,000 years either if they had to be functional as a building in any way. When you are 99.9999% a big pile of rocks you'll last a long time.

If they were located in a better community, developers would have torn them down and put up condos

This is the same claptrap as putting a man on the moon. We could still do it. We just choose not to. It's a choice. Sure.

Not at all.

You have to make design choices. The same design choices that let the pyramids exist for 4,000 years also make it an incredibly uncomfortable place to live. Things like indoor plumbing and electrical lighting are going to be a lot harder on a completely stone structure.

Up until the point where you do it. Then it will be out of style.

It isn't a house though.

Exactly. You compared it to my house which won't last 4,000 years.

The building of the pyramids is an amazing feat. The fact that a bunch of limestone that lasts millions of years naturally were stacked together and have survived 4,000 years is not all that surprising.

That's a bit of an understatement.

It's not an understatement. The pyramids are a bunch of stacked rocks. It's impressive in the scale of it but it's still just a bunch of stacked rocks.

This is what the Tennessee Titans said when they asked for a new stadium after 25 years.

For a guy that frequently proclaims "not to care", you sure do seem to care. A lot.

Does he care about your butthole? Just asking a question.
