I think online dating is the way to go now.

I'm not a relationship guy, gave it a chance, wasn't my thing. I enjoy being single and being able to do whatever I want like not wearing pants, smoking in the house and masturbating in the living room without fear of being caught.

I've been doing the online thing for the past couple of years. Pretty hit or miss but I have met some nice
people. I don't think there is anything weird about it these days. I didn't use eHarmony or Match since I
didn't want to pay for any service and wasn't at a point where I was looking for marriage, just dating. It is
hard for me to meet people out anywhere as I am in my late 30's, don't go to the bars and don't attend
church. Where are you supposed to meet someone? I met the girl I see now online and it has worked out
well. There is no what I would have ever met her in any other circumstance.

In college, me and my future wife decided to take one class together. Since it was a psychology class, it was pretty much a blowoff class. We had to write a paper but for some reason we were told to work with someone else and that we could both turn in virtually the same paper. We ended up deciding to write a paper on online dating even though we had not met online and neither of us had ever even used one of the sites because they were just getting started before we met the moral way at a party.

Anyways, the only reason I share that story is to make it clear that even before I signed up for this message board I considered myself an expert on things that I had never done and had no real knowledge of.

Oh, and I believe our ultimate determination was that online dating can be helpful in finding a significant other.

I met my wife online. It wasn't on Match or eHarmony. We met through Yahoo personals. I'm not even sure if they are around anymore. This was back when everyone thought it was bad to meet someone online. We have been married for 11 years and I am convinced that we wouldn't have met in a social setting.

I find it impossible our paths have not crossed.
