It was down 30% from 52 but still at a huge level and nowhere near "almost gone"

You are confusing when the vaccine was announced with when it was rolled out for full public consumption.

That was in 1955.

So without the vaccine, polio cases dropped by almost 50% from 1950 to 1955.

Thank goodness polio only existed in the US (and no where else, ever) before the upgrade in living conditions and sanitation. Polio vaccine is useless and a total sham put out by the Big Pharma in the US.

But a lot of the drop can be attributed to the vaccine trials.

You seem to be making a case that polio was being cured by natural process before it was cured by what actually did eradicate it. Is that accurate?
