That will make the group second honeymoon awkward.

Jealousy over his prowess with the ladies.

Lipid is a like a big teddy bear, so you can't help but to give him a hug, right?

Darko, am I going to be eating ribs on Sunday?

Fuck, forgot to tell you... no. I am installing a furnace and AC in Round Lake Beach Sunday... gonna have to take a one week rain check. Next Sunday without any doubt.

Well fuck you, I will still eat ribs anyway. I think I remember how to operate a grill.

Right. Well, just plan on the following Sunday. I thought I'd be doing this job next weekend rather than this weekend but dude's shit finally shit itself Monday and it's like not fixable. So we're replacing it this weekend instead of next weekend.

I did not realize watching a Bears game was a pre-requisite to eating ribs. I have been eating them wrong my whole life I guess.

Crazy how I would've figured a topic that originally sprung up during a Bears game chat via a Chicago sports message board scheduled (and then re-scheduled) for a Sunday afternoon would somehow correlate in any way with a Bears game ...

That I advocate it, I suppose.

In reality, it would probably have to do with what you and Denis were talking about. Too many stupid people that NEED a social safety net and be told what to do.

Denis,

When are we going to grab a beer and compare Jose Abreu to Miguel Cabrera again?

FF, why did you decide against a military career?

Really disliked the chain of command culture there. The officers and higher ranking military do not give one shit about our soldiers, and they were shockingly transparent about that. One of the deciding moments for not re-enlisting for me came when they were doing a room inspection, knocked my xbox off it's desk and broke it, and then laughed and left. When I tried to complain to anybody about it, I was basically told the sergeants could do whatever they wanted and we had to put up with it.

Edit: Oh, and constantly being treated like a little kid gets old also. They love doing that.

Interesting stuff, FF. Thanks.

One of my best friends did the career. Did a couple tours in Iraq and is working at the Pentagon now. He loves it. But he went through ROTC so I'm guessing that's a completely different experience.

Yeah being an officer is night and day difference from being enlisted.

I really wanted to deploy since I was an electrician and not on the front lines, but was never able to. Regardless, I am still glad I joined for the one term I did. It was an interesting and eye opening experience on many levels.

Darko,

Why is Leash being such a dick to me?

Was it something I said? Did I shave off a little more than my share in the bathroom stall?
