Unless of course you think that people who own guns illegally will in fact stop owing guns illegally when guns are illegal.

I'd like to see some more gun control too but this story isn't really a good example.

its not a story, its an article explaining a large study that was done based off actual data.

if you can interpret the numbers, and you gotta use 6th grade math but still, it shows that the countries that DO have strict gun laws don't have a fraction of the gun violence compared to countries that dont.

it clearly shows that banning guns does take the vast majority of guns out of criminals hands.

As for your link, it really isn't as simple as that. Britain has a lower crime rate than we do. It isn't just because we have guns and they don't.

Id guess Ike is saying better gun regulation would lead to less guns out there in general and less shootings

Australia had an aggressive buy back program. That would be the proposed answer to those that say we already have so many guns out there.
