watched one of my high school girls basketball players have a seizure on the floor today during practice.

Such a helpless feeling.

I would imagine quite frightening as well.

Yes it was quite scary, especially for her teammates who most had never witnessed anything like it.

That was always my fear when coaching kids.

Is this something you knew was possible? Did her parents let you know what to do?

I hope your school's training staff is better than the Bulls training staff.

Yeah it was something we knew about. She has suffered with them for the last 4 years, but we have never experienced one at anything school related until today, but we had been prepped for what to do for her.

There's a segment on my ride that is a straightaway that's just short of a mile. I always try to maintain the fastest time of the year on this segment. Some stud ripped off a 1:45 which is pretty fast for this time of the year. That pissed me off. So today I took a crack at getting back on top. I rode it pretty strong but when I came to the light at Green Bay there were two cars waiting. I caught the green light but I couldn't just ride hard all the way through because I can't trust that one of those dopes won't turn right without a signal and kill me. I came up a second short. I'll get back on top soon.

Image

I found a quarter today. That's 162 miles and 39 cents for the year.

 It's an app.

Also, that stretch probably has to be closer to a half-mile because I know I can't ride 30 mph on my bike unless I was going downhill. I'd have to look but I'd guess I may have hit 26 mph in the seg.

It can vary wildly. Last year I finished with $95.93. I wouldn't expect to come close to that again.

Come on over by my place, I'm right on the path. I've got a bucket of laundry money, we'll make some popcorn.

Throw down a roll of quarters for me. Unroll it first though.

Then we can roll out some nickels for North Shore Joe

On the one hand, online professional webinars presented by CPAs are very convenient so as not to have to go out to some hotel conference room.

On the other hand, the level of presentation has suffered greatly. I feel like these presenters don't have any minimum level of presentation skill requirement. It's so easy to put something online, it's like it doesn't matter if the person can actually speak.

when someone asks me to go to a presentation. I ask if its possible to get the slide deck before hand. if they say yes, then I know its a powerpoint presentation and I don't attend the webinar. Most people just read the slide deck.
