Agreed. I am having my wife enroll in a gun safety class.

It couldn't have taken two hours, could it? From the moment it started, they knew exactly where the shots were coming from.

Yep, Muzzle flash, especially at night, is pretty easy to see. With all the cameras filming, they should have been able to find this guy within minutes after initial reports.

I'd imagine all of the lights in Vegas would make it more difficult to identify.

I'm certain Leash would deny said claim.

Spiegs brought up a good question. How many of the 500+ injuries are not shooting? Like trampled etc.

Mandalay Bay and the venue and concert organizers will all have lawsuits against them. Jason Aldean will likely as well. I handle liability claims for large corporations. Not saying there might not be something there, but the large dollar clients will always be targets.

Probably a decent number. One video out there has a guy telling others to get off the ground and move to avoid getting trampled by other people. I would imagine a lot of the injuries are from that or getting hurt trying to climb fences, get through doors, etc.

Interesting. There will be scanners for luggage in big hotels very soon, IMO. I bet you see them for Times Square in NY during New Years..

Isn't this a distinction without a difference?

Or should those injuries not be deemed the result of a dude raining bullets into a crowd?

I guess those people should have just left the premises in a calm and orderly fashion?

I'm sure nothing will be done to take your pistols away, Darko.

And I wasn't worried, buckaroo.

just pointing out a fact that people were injured in a multitude of fashions. I guess I should have spelled that out for you.

What does it matter the fashion of the injury if the cause is the same?

I may not agree with all of their positions on guns, but I think we can all agree that Darko & Ogie are two of the "good ones".

What does it matter the fashion of the injury if the cause is the same?

It matters as it's how you end up with 500+ injured as you don't have to hit 500 people to injure that many when you have a large crowd gathered. Panic and stampede (which is to be expected when survival instincts kick in) will add to the injuries.

It doesn't matter to me but I'm sure it matters when the lawsuits start flying.

Mandalay seems like a given, although I'd like to know what they were supposed to do. Unless we're moving to TSA styled checks in every public place, it seems like this would be tough to prevent.

As for the venue and concert folks, I can't see how they have liability. It wasn't like those folks were shot from a location on their property. But alas, you are probably right.
