As for the venue and concert folks, I can't see how they have liability. It wasn't like those folks were shot from a location on their property. But alas, you are probably right.

This is why the fashion of the injury comes into play -- if it was from stampede type acts, you can sue because the facility didn't have proper layouts in place to prevent these sorts of injuries.

Im always a bit amused by the shock and outrage over the "thousands of rounds of ammo" in the home commentary. Thats... not weird. When I go to target practice I would typically bring 400 or 500 rounds just for that day. I bought a 2000 round battle pack of .22LR like 10 years ago that I chipped away for years until I got sick of my .22. That shit is typically purchased in 250 or 500 round boxes for a penny a shot or less.

Seriously, most people buy it 2,000 rounds at a time. It's better than buying 2 boxes of 50 rounds each time I go shooting

I'd say ignorant media. The people in newsrooms and the blue checkmarks on Twitter have never held a gun much less fired one so they have no understanding when they report on the topic.

It seems to matter to some around these parts Franko.

I still can't understand the difference between ending up in the ER because someone shot you with a high powered rifle, or ending up in the ER because some tried to shoot you and 30k other people with said high powered rifle and you were spared a bullett b/c a few dozen people stomped on your windpipe to run away from the scene.

I'm pretty sure one needs to have a basic understanding to report on firearms in order to not look like a complete retard when doing so.

I'll give you Gersh Kuntzman's hilariously awful piece regarding AR-15s in the NYDN in 2016 as an example. His piece was so bad he became a meme over it.

I don't know, is she wrong? At least she's honest about her lack of sympathy. I would guess that 90% of the population conceals their guilt about being thankful that it wasn't them or their family with a sympathetic facade. Our society has determined that events like this happening once or twice a year is part of life. The "prayers" & histrionics are a bit silly.

I think people are trying to mitigate the number of deaths from a gun to a more "reasonable" figure.

"Sure 100 people died but only 15 were shot. That's a weekend in Chicago. My guns are safe."

Maybe I'm wrong though.

The only way to have a basic understanding of firearms is to have fired one?

So I guess a person needs to have designed a gas chamber, marched someone into a gas chamber, or been an invitee into a gas chamber to have a basic understanding of a gas chamber and therefore have a viable opinion on their usage...

So 15 people killed in a mass shooting is a reasonable number? At what point does it become unreasonable? Can I get a ruling on this?

Also, wasn't that gunman a cause of the injuries and deaths as a result of the panic? I mean if he had been shooting thoughts and prayers out that window I am pretty sure there would have been zero deaths that night.

Your analogy makes zero sense, but keep posting, you make an ass of yourself everytime.

I'd say the people writing about guns should at least know what a semi-auto is vs. an auto. They use terms like "assault rifle" without actually knowing what one is (AR-15s are not assault rifles). I can point to dozens of instances of this.

Considering millions have died protecting the rights in question I'd say that it's a matter that requires more meditation.

No that isn't what you said, you said people need to have fired a gun to have an informed opinion on them.
