Keep your nose to the grindstone king. You'll get there one day.

Going to dip into IBM today. It is dropping quite a bit for a big cap in premarket based on weaker than expected revenues. But is has been cleaning up the balance sheet and sports a nearly 5% dividend yield. In addition, it is spinning off one of its business to shareholders of record on 10/25. Spin-offs almost always take off after being separated. You get one share in the business for every five of IBM owned.

I hope to get in below $135/share.

Portillo's starts trading today on the Nasdaq under PTLO.

IPO is priced at $20 a share with a float of 202 million shares. Seems way too high for net income of only $28 million in the first six months of 2021.

Maybe people will want it at any price, but $10 a share would be more reasonable. Is it really a $4 billion company right now?

Valuations are off the charts on IPO’s. Most are trading at double digit multiples of 2022 adjusted EBITDA. That metric was $88M for 2020. But yeah that seems like a stretched valuation for sure.

It hit a high of $27 already in early trading, up 34%.

I got in on the first day of ipo's on Robinhood's IPO offering thing. but I got in and sold right away so Robinhood won't let me in on anymore of them. One of them was Duolingo. i forgot the other one. But it let me in on Robinhood itself which i've been holding.

If it wasn't for getting in on the OG IPO, I wouldnt' be getting in on any of these IPOs for the rest of the year.

Alright, I grabbed some at $130.

If this goes bad I may not have much money, but just know what I do have are a very particular set of skills - skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

The restaurant enjoyed some good publicity after the Chicago Sky won and Candace Parker took her team to Portillo's. They showed it on Channel 7 news. The footage probably made it nationally as well.

I just hate freaking dealing with the dividends. But for the hell of it I'll be in later this afternoon perhaps.

Our new company just announced that buying the internal stock won't be available until december as they are breaking off the US shares form the UK/AU shares. So I can allocate that money elsewhere for the time being.

Yeah that was a disaster….sorry. Those fuckers bought the Verizon fixed lines in several states, overloaded with debt, and then mismanaged the acquired business. That was my worst loss of all time.

I wouldn't trust that. Especially now. It was worth kicking the tires on at $10

Well, ya. Can't trust any of these meme stocks. Now DWAC at $76. Why do they keep halting it with only 60 million shares traded. Smells like MerriclLOL. behind the scenes. The warrants are wild.

Trump wins again.
