Tallest Midget taking the side of the man in a laborer-employer dispute...someone has obviously gotten to him...for shame.

How so? By making ad hominem attacks against me or by implying that Theo's bad behavior is fine as long as it isn't worse than Reinsdorf's?

Come on, JORR. You can't make 25 threads in a week trolling Cubs fans and then act appalled when a person or two take shots at you.

25 threads? And I'm being accused of not understanding reality!

I didn't count them. I keep my gluttony for punishment confined to Sunday afternoons.

By definition, a "manager" is not a worker. He or she is "management."

And when the millionaires and the billionaires decide to cannibalize one another, Tall Midget just sits back, chuckles and recalls these prophetic words: "What the bourgeoisie produces above all else are its own gravediggers."

Or maybe good dolphin needs to spend some time in Tall Midget's Four-College Marxism from A(lthusser) to Z(izek) reading group, which will next meet on Wednesday in the greater Boston area.

Granted, explaining the distinction between "manager" and "worker" is a bit remedial for our group, but we will nevertheless indulge you should you decide to pop in.

It has nothing to do with the Sox. Why would you think Reinsdorf's shitty behavior excuses anyone else? You make me embarrassed to be a human being.

I don't know which is worse: the idea that you have descended to the role of full-time board troll or the notion that you actually believe the stupidity that you so enthusiastically propound.

Either way your behavior is asinine.

And three of them have little to nothing to do with the Cubs. In fact, I asked RPB to remove his Cub post from the "It's just business" thread and he obliged. I'm sorry you are so focused on a shitty baseball team that you see Gabby Hartnett lurking in every shadow.

Ask your group whether it believes field manager of a baseball team is labor or management in light of true management making out his lineup card and the people he oversees being compensated more than him. His job, as it turns out, was nothing more than Spanish translator.

and yes, I do need to spend some time in it

They're not about the Cubs.

The "Meaningless" thread is about the SABRmetric value of managers.

The "jimmypasta" thread is about jimmypasta and his huge heart in the face of the callousness of most other Cub fans on this board.

The "Business" thread is specifically not about the Cubs and I stated as much in a post within said thread. It was, however, inspired by dan bernstein using the phrase "It's business" as a defense of what I consider the poor behavior of one of his heroes.

Sounds like dolphin has bravely championed the side of the multi-millionaire in his all-important yet somehow irreducibly petty dispute with a billionaire. Like JORR, you have a highly developed sense of justice, dolphin!

My then 13 yr. old son almost knocked out that old bastard on the right back in May.

Mouthy little shit that old bastard is. Lucky too. All of us.

I caught my son's punch just after he tried to throw it. Even the CPD started laughing at how clueless that SOB was.

He tried to laugh until he realized how dumb the shit he did was....in the defense of the Wrigley Cathedral.
