Right....he actually changed his position to be more respectful.

He also knew, when he started this whole thing, that he was gonna take his lumps. He said he was ready to face the consequences. He's not one of these crazy shitlibs whom I cannot stand (his girlfriend might be).

His girlfriend is the reason he doesn't have a job right now per Ray Lewis.

hard to say he got screwed out of a job when he had a contract to play this year and opted out of it.

He also had an offer ready from the Ravens, but then his gf (who probably also once dated Garry Meier) screwed that up for him.

true but he certainly got screwed out of a shitty backup job.

Like most protests, you could ask at least 75% of the people what they are protesting, and you'd get hundreds of different answers or non-answers. And if you scrutinize any aspect of their stance, they usually have no good answer. I remember watching some of the Occupy Wallstreet fuck tards give interviews about their protest reasons, and it made me wish I had CTE.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't personally agree with the protesting, but I support the players right to protest as long as it remains peaceful. The president was a moron for injecting himself into the conversation. In the end, the only thing that will occur is that NFL ratings will fall for attendance and viewership. This is just a temporary distraction until the next kerfuffle, or until North Korea starts going scorched earth policy.

Kaep originally said it was about the actual flag though. The military part is unsubstantiated though.

I thought was Im not going to salute the flag of a country that.......

That's not about the flag, imo

true but he certainly got screwed out of a shitty backup job.

Ravens were ready to offer him, his gf bashed Ray Lewis, offer was rescinded.

Praising Castro didn't help him either when the Miami job came around.

He and his gf have been their own worst enemies. Plenty of other players have spoken out, and they have jobs and are not in danger of losing their job.

Sadly, this is true. He reportedly changed after he started banging that chick. More woke.

probably, but he's also a pretty smart guy, and at least he's willing to sacrifice something, unlike so many others in the "I got mine" culture we have.

He was being cut anyway in San Francisco and Ray Lewis' crocodile tears over being included in that Tweet aren't exactly the most credible source for the Ravens.

The kneeling before the anthem by the Cowboys was a really smart answer to this whole thing -- they stood up for the anthem and gave due reverence to the flag, but were still able to show their protest of the mistreatment of some Americans without being offensive to anything this country holds dear. Except the people who don't like kneeling -- they still booed.

Yeah that was unfortunate. It is a little strange as Tomlin is pretty loved here even if he seems to be more of a motivational coach rather than some great coach. He was at my son's game last week as his sons were playing against us. Generally great guy that was respected and left alone to enjoy the game.

Putting Tomlin on there? Anger or frustration is never an acceptable reason to post or say something like that. Firing him won't do any good though.

Yea, I mean, as long as he's good at what he does I suppose.
