i remember once as a teenager i was all emo and i told my dad that i wanted to kill myself. he proceeded to tell me about how he used to date this jewish broad whose family owned some bread company (or something) that was worth millions and if everything worked out he probably wouldn't have to work another day in his life. she ended up dumping him and uhh yeah c'est la vie.

he told me to come back to him when i had an actual reason to kill myself.

btw there's something goofy in this quote from that tmz article:

Chicago PD got a call from Irish authorities saying Sinead contacted her family an hour ago and said she was suicidal and planned to jump off a bridge in the Chicago area.

so ummmm, did her family get the note and call ireland first? what in the actual fuck? is this some kind of thing where ireland had to have some high ranking people pull an instant teleconference to decide "if she dies she dies" and then somebody was like "NO WAY!!! SHE'S A NATIONAL TREASURE!!!!" and then and only then they made the call to the chicago PD, aka where she actually is?

i just can't fathom how the fuck "irish authorities" got involved before the chicago PD. wtf is going on here?

edit: i just realized that all her family is prolly in ireland and they just called their equivalent of 911 in lieu of figuring out how to call chicago directly. i am a dumbass.
