I'm down with Duncan, it just seems he isn't as "popular" as Curry. That of course is a result of him not taking as many marketing opportunities as Curry does (much like Dirk, too), as well as maybe the SA market. Because Curry has more exposure he's got more chances of being "well-liked" nationally.

Locally - Stan Mikita

Nationally (except by a couple of coaches) - Larry Bird and Joe Greene.

I know that sounds off for both of the latter, but even the community appreciates Bird now. As for Joe Greene, even the players he cheap shot-ted have faded into warm fuzzies as they're now on the dozens of Joe Greene clips in heavy rotation to show their grandkids. Or, they don't remember or have passed away(CTE). I'd suggest that even Dallas fans no longer hate him as he's from Texas (for the older ones), they've won enough for the under 45 set, and that he's portrayed as a teddy bear now for the millenials & kids.

I started out disliking Popovich after he canned Bob Hill. I respect his career but I've still never really cared for him.

I still wish the Saints had the stones to have drafted either Andy Murray out of UGA a couple of years ago, or Paxton Lynch this year. I still like him...except when he 5'10"s up and tries to force 3-4 passes a game to parts of the field he really can't see anymore.

The 2nd half's soundtrack on B and B yesterday was a Rza medley. Liquid Swords, Careful (Click, Click), Criminology

I'll argue that's the greatest Hip-Hop beat of all time.

Mass Appeal and Off The Books/Watch Out Now are also in the team photo for that award, but ultimately The Rza stands tall.
