Considering the way Eastern Muslims treat their women this sounds like a Western romanticized view. I asked because I have read different reasons. The most plausible reason was in the Quran it says to hide their beauty and so they are not harrassed in public.

I got that from some supposedly Muslim site.

i think the relevant passages in the Koran talk about women covering their womanliness to help Muhammad (& other men) control his (their) fleshly appetite.

And what happens if women don't cover themselves and help men to control their appetite?

My concern is letting in people with vastly different social beliefs, I don't care what the source of those beliefs are, that result in situations that are happening in places like Sweden, Germany, France, Australia, etc. What's worse, they are then shielded from criticism, or protected by the governments when crimes are committed.

Leash doesn't like it when you dance around what one really believes and then backtrack when challenged.
