It is more of a political stunt. MANY say they're protesting his rhetoric.

We seem to live in a world of protests with no clear purpose.

We live in a world where people legitimately believe that 9-11 and Sandy Hook were inside jobs and/or hoaxes.

Guittieriez, not only not going but he is in the protest march the next day in D.C. That is defiantly going to piss D.J.T off

Exactly! That's what these fucking snowflakes don't understand. Executive authority is always about vengeance and abuse of power. That's why it's a fucking travesty that Chris Christie wasn't awarded the medal of freedom by obummer for flawlessly kicking the ass of his opponents on that bridge.

There is no valid reason to sit in the winter rain to view this farce that they are rightfully protesting.

I sometimes wonder if the same rationale against protesters now was used back when students attempting to integrate lunch counters in 1961

They seem equally adept at ignoring the point in attempts to belittle any (every) dissent

Over the last eight years, Republicans in Congress have refused to do their jobs, including making up a new rule to avoid even hearing a SC nomination, and shutting down the gov't, all to protest the Kenyan, Muslim Obama. But,fifty Democrats don't show up to Cheeto Mussolini's party, and now a line has been crossed, according to a self-proclaimed neutral observer.

Integrating lunch counters has a clear purpose and goal. What is the goal of this protest?

I'm all for protesting Trump. We just should know what the goal is of it.

Every citizen of this country has a right, dare I say an obligation,to speak out in protest against injustice and wrongs as perpetrated against them by their government. The problem is,this administration has not even gotten into office yet. This same incoming administration when it looked because the so called impartial media was calling it for 6 plus months for the opposite candidate was
clamoring and prognosticating doom and riots if they lost. They made the incoming president make a public statement and haraigned his followers with the vow they would accept the outcome of the election and meet the victorious Lady President in harmony for the good of the country. Now that the reality has come to light that the majority of state populations did not want her and her cronies in office and voted in the dastardly man who would send his followers into the streets of hometown USA to riot and tear the country asunder, now that they have lost they are doing the very thing they made the victors promise they would not do. Eight years ago ,those who opposed the current President where admonished and told to give him at least a hundred days. True there was some uneasiness upon his election, dare I say there was though dancing in the streets. Yet,this man, even though he can at times be a moron and a buffoon, should have his administration given the same courtesy that was asked eight years ago. If the opposition did the kind of chicanery that is going on right now on the opposition ,the "fair and balanced" media would have been howling from the rooftops with ugly vile words on them, not so much now.

With that I bid you good day sir.

IF chaa still has the right to vote there is no way he voted for Gary Johnson. It's really hilarious to see people like him trying to tell others how they should respect the office. The more offensive people like him were to Obama the more popular they became. One even became president.

That is hilarious coming from the neutral observer who called Obama a "fucking liar" anytime he felt that Obama broke a campaign promise. Trump said he was going to drain the swamp, but he has SIX former Goldman-Sachs executives in his cabinet. It's nice to see that, predictably, you already have the excuse machine running at full speed, including more shots at Hillary, who has nothing to do with anything at this point. Concluding with taking your ball and going home was the cherry on top.

For eight years, you proclaimed that Obama was divisive and the problem with Washington today. Now that we have the most polarizing, divisive figure probably to ever hold the office, your venom is spewed at Democrats in Congress. You are going to be twisting yourself into knots so much, we will probably be calling you the Human Pretzel in short order.

For the record, I believe the Democrats who are boycotting are being petty and childish. Leave the cheap political stunts to the other side, or you are no better than them.

I'm all for protesting Trump. We just should know what the goal is of it.

In this particular case, you know it makes him nuts when anyone disagrees. That alone makes it a worthy protest

The people okay but the members of Congress should not be out there legitimizing these people at this point. I have a hard time understanding how a U.S. House member can keep referring to illegal aliens as members of his constituency and how he has to protect them and their rights.

Given the divisive campaign and the naming and shaming of particular groups the "give him a chance to lead" point of view, while clearly reasonable in normal circumstances, might come off as tone deaf to those groups who've been targeted by his rhetoric, particularly the Hispanic community for example. And for those who care about things like Planned Parenthood, it is the same. To them it may seem like you see an axe murderer running at you feel speed with an axe and at that point the last thing anyone thinks about saying is something like "hey, dont prejudge him, just give the guy a chance".

I wanted her to win but it is one of the reasons I'm not disappointed about her losing. The Clinton bullseye has been removed once and for all for both Democrats and Republicans. "But Hillary" should be a distant memory soon.

Trump will have to govern starting tomorrow. Let's see if he can run the country effectively. The rationale "but Hillary" can't be used for either Democrats or Republicans. The Clintons are done as players in the Democratic Party and Republicans shouldn't have their sights set on them any longer.
