Out here in Bureau county we looks like about 3 inches and its still snowing. i never figure that we are snow free until mid April and even then I have been surprised a time or two.

Minor speed bump, all be melted by Thursday and highs in 60's and 70's next week.. Coming off the warmest February on record and March hasn't been shit.

Yep. The weather people have been waiting to whip us into a panic and they finally got their chance. This type of shit is why folks get stuck in a blizzard on Lake Shore Drive. When every snowfall turns into an EVENT, people start to ignore it and then when a real storm comes you get screwed.

Over here on the east coast, we are supposed to get somewhere in the range of 5 inches to 24 inches.
Everyone is losing their minds. My kids school canceled tomorrow at 2:30, my work canceled at 4.

It's happening exactly like they said it would. We got a light accumulation last night/this morning, followed by lake effect snow tonight. The Lake Effect Snow Warning has been up since yesterday.

I'm starting to think that there are some people who get confused when they hear the weather forecast.

Winter has been very nice to us the last couple of years. As much as I hate snow I won't complain about a little dusting after 2 great winters. Thank you Mother Nature.

This is like last year where we had one major snow storm...but it dropped 32 inches on us.
I'd rather have one big storm than five or six that drop four or five inches of snow on us.
I'm now hoping that they close school/my campus tomorrow too. I've got NCAA stats to crunch.

I would say there was at least 5-6" on the ground in Orland at 5am, and it was still coming down good. I think I will shovel more snow today than I did in all of 2016.

We've been extremely lucky. Not only has this winter been very mild overall, its been years since the Lake Effect machine dumped this kind of snow on the west side of the lake. Usually the Michigan and Indiana snow belts get hit hard.

The good news is that most of this should melted by the end of the weekend, and the long range forecast shows mostly seasonal and milder temps.
