That shit made my blood run cold, man. This dude was unemployed, always at that house within 100 feet of my front door and my wife works from home.

I wished I had checked the list earlier.
I was pretty pissed because a few times a couple board members kids were here while that bastard lived there. Plus he was super creepy.
Would he have attacked my wife... maybe not. He didn't.
I get this is a nonsequiter. Whatever who cares this conversation made me think of it.

Now I'm really happy I talked IMU into going over there to do recon on why he had three gallons of (what at the time was presumed to be) milk in his fridge. Ah, what could've been ...

Being holier than thou, however the great BetaRogue defines it, and having an affair, is worse than being a sex offender? Got it.

It's comforting to know that you are a loser who can't stop thinking about me. Grow a fucking pair, and stop being a bitch.

A perspective question...

Should the Jupiter police department not have released tiger's dashcam video?

anyways, now that i've essentially given the board's dog enough attention to hopefully go run off and bury his nose in somebody else's crotch to get a whiff of what they've got going on, let's get back to the topic @ hand here.

this is a tricky topic for me cuz the first time chas popped up with something like this it was that someone had found a profile of his on a prostitute-soliciting-website or something, and when they found that they ran here and shared it and, IMO, it raised a pretty solid philosophical/moral question about "how far is going too far?" when it comes to shit like this. cuz while i can definitely understand "hey if you're dumb enough to put it on the internet it's fair game" at the same time i remember saying that i liked to think that "we" as a board were better than going out of our way to absolutely obliterate someone like that.... man, this situation here has one other factor going on that's of paramount importance:

Image

and hey, having been processed through the hotel 26th-n-california a few times [cook county jail] i can tell you that there were a couple times where you'd hear someone was in there cuz of kids..... and while i didn't act on that, man, let's just say the flow of that information seemed to transcend all, and there were others who were most likely of a mind to do something with/about that information. at the very least you knew to stay the fuck away from that dude you heard about (for both of the obvious reasons)

so yeah, you know what? in this case i think all of my blatant idealism and whatnot goes out the window when you're invoking the walter sobchak doctrine. have at 'em.

Yes. Poor, poor Chas. Always the victim.

It's not really about chas. Do you think someone accused of being a sex offender should at least be given the opportunity to explain themself on a message board full of people who don't know them?

Not accused.
Convicted.

Yes. Convicted, and put on a registry with other dangerous people. Those lists are provided for the betterment of society. You better believe I check the one for my area.

He has sought out personal information about posters here, and has threatened to commit some violent act towards posters, and in one case, somebody's family. Knowing that this lunatic isn't just talk, and is capable of committing such atrocities, is kind of a big deal. To pretend that this is just because he is unpopular, is the height of naivety. I wouldn't give a pass to a friend, for doing such a thing.

91 pages about drinky, because people hate him for being mean to stupid callers, and bagging a babe that 95% of the posters here couldn't get, is okay. Pointing out that an unhinged lunatic is a real danger, that's out of line.

All of what you say appears to be truth

However, while th information is out there for the public safety I don't believe for a second that it was posted HERE for public safety.
I also don't think anyone feels safer knowing the information which makes all of this discussion disingenuous

OH WAIT A SECOND....

my bad. see when i first read the quote i essentially read it with the extra "[on]" in there like you said 91 PAGES ABOUT AMATTACOLA BEING MEAN TO CALLERS IS FINE, AND BAGGING ON A BABE THAT 95% OF THE POSTERS HERE COULDNT GET IS OK --- cuz i thought that 2nd thing was a julie dicaro joke. but you mean that amattacola got with the ice girl, so that's on me.... still, i'm going to append that quote up top so people can get what my original reply was supposed to be about cuz i thought you had unleashed a pretty clever little jdc joke there, as she woulda been the 2nd example of someone who you can "bag on / slag off" on this board AND THAT'S ONE THING..... BUT CHAS IS ANOTHER! [and you're still right either way]

i agree with your core concept here; in my earlier post i referred to it as "my idealism" --- and i definitely wouldn't be the person who found this info "in the wild" and brought it here as a conversational topic.... that said, i think all bets are off when it's about kids, so you know, while at my core i'm with you.... i can't turn around and get on other ppl for what they did here cuz like.... you know..... you know? you know. it's just one of those things where i'm gonna pull a bud selig and throw my arms up in the air as i walk away while seeing if i can find a video for the KLF song "K sera sera" -- you know what i'm saying?

I was genuinely shocked and disturbed when I saw the information and posted the CONFESS thread as a reaction to that. This is a guy who despite not agreeing with on much I enjoyed reading his stuff.

Nobody knows what the story is except chas. Maybe he'll explain. Maybe not.

Maybe I am naive.

Oh well.

Stuff like that would be released anyways under FOIA requests.

You might as well save everyone the paperwork and time by proactively releasing it.

That's how I roll. There is nothing I hate more than a liar. Well, maybe somebody who has been convicted of sex crimes against a minor, although I'm sure it wasn't his fault.

While most of his threats were most likely empty and harmless, you never know. Especially in light of recent discoveries. He has made a lot of threats to me. If those threats had been made to you maybe you would feel differently. A man has no more important job than protecting his family.

I've never seen more arrogance and insults in one post. Congrats!

Feel free to expound.

You make all of this sound so simple. I not only think it's bullshit, but I think you are being extremely unfair to ALL the CFMBers who have brought their kids around board members, shared stories or photos and you owe them an apology.

We communicate with each other in some cases more than we do our own families and the people we work with. This has been the case for years. Really good friendships have been developed from this board. If you take your kids to work events or to a friend's party and let them roam, why wouldn't you allow them to roam around fellow CFMBers and their kids? I'm confident you know more about people who post here than you do most of your coworkers or friends of your friends.

Are the members of our community perfect? Of course not. Neither are we, our families, friends or coworkers. Some of them/us have also done things that we/others would find reprehensible if we/others had knowledge of. I can't speak for the lurkers, but this community has a diverse and solid group of regulars that I would put up against any similar group anywhere.

I will apologize to no one. If that post offended you so much, get a new perspective. I was specifically referring to letting kids RUN AROUND unattended at an event, not simply bringing them.

And... this will be my last post on the matter... but let's please stop with the Holier than thou "Oh, we stopped a child predator from getting to our kids!" That's nonsense... Chas was never coming to a board event. If he did, we all already thought he was weird, and we don't even know the circumstances.

But hey, you be the moral victor here. I'm glad we could post shit like that about a guy who clearly has mental problems, whose brother just died, and who had reached out to this board for support. Maybe this will be the push he needs to put him over the edge. It's all very Christian.

Actually, it seems very Christian...that weird, protestant, passive-aggressive Christianity that seems to be popular these days.

And given his posting history, it seems like a level of Christianity that chas would approve of too.

5 of those posters are married, 1 is engaged, and the other is Darkside.

Was the intent to warn all of us?

Was the intent to have another laugh at this guy?

Or a combination of both?

I think we are all a little weird posting on a message board in 2017, but that still wouldn't stop me from meeting most of you. I didn't have time when I was home in December (Sorry Leash!), but I intend on showing my face at some point before the next board implosion.

ImO it's kind of obvious to read a post, and determine who are the most unbalanced amongst us. What about those who can hide it tho? What about the poster who flies into a rage after reading a Julie DiCaro twitter post and then proceeds to beat their wife or children? What about the guys who jerkoff to hentai or beastiality porn? Or even finding out the guy making troll threads in the Cubs section every other day is a flamboyant homosexual? Just like a sex offender revelation these are things that would forever alter my perception of someone. I guess my question is where does this stop? Because Chas was a habitual line stepper that does make this doxxing a little bit more easy to digest, but now are the floodgates open to anyone who crosses a perceived line to have their information shared? What are the boundaries? Are there any?
